Kether Donohue is best known for her breakout role as Lindsay Jillian on the FX comedy series, You’re the Worst, which ran for five seasons and garnered her a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy alongside Allison Janney, Judith Light, and Mayim Bialik. GQ called her, “the funniest woman on television.”
Donohue then went on to star opposite Darren Criss on the Roku comedy series, Royalties, which ran for one season, followed by her next series regular role as Gabby on Chuck Lorre’s CBS sitcom, B Positive for two seasons.
Donohue played the memorable role of Jan in Fox’s Grease: Live to critical acclaim. Rolling Stone called her one of the “biggest scene stealers of the night,” and Variety said she “brought infectious joy to every moment she was on screen as Jan.”
Donohue also starred in Suzanne Martin’s NBC sitcom pilot, Like Family, directed by James Burrows, who previously directed Donohue in another pilot for CBS, Open Books, with Patti LuPone and Laura Benanti.
More credits include a series regular role on the ABC sitcom pilot, Happy Accident, with Vanessa Williams and Matt Walsh and a series regular role on the WB’s multi-cam sitcom pilot, Saving Jason, starring Shad Moss and directed by Stan Lathan. Donohue guest starred on Netflix’s You, TBS’ The Guest Book opposite Nat Faxon, FOX’s LA to Vegas, NBC’s Champions, FOX’s The Mindy Project, NBC’s Perfect Couples, and CW’s The Carrie Diaries. Donohue lead Barry Levinson’s sci-fi thriller in the Lionsgate film, The Bay, and played one of the original Barden Bellas in the Universal film, Pitch Perfect.
Donohue’s illustrious voice-over career includes the fan favorite role of Peanut Hamper in Star Trek: Lower Decks on Paramount Plus and series regular roles of Gillian on Adult Swim’s Birdgirl and Flo in Disney’s Elena of Avalor. She has voiced characters on Adult Swim’s Tuca and Bertie, Cartoon Network’s Robot Chicken, Dreamworks’ All Hail King Julien, Nick Jr’s Sunny Day, and Fox’s American Dad!
